Space between trees

I photographed some trees in my garden and using a light box I painted in the background and left the trees negative.  I experimented with black and white and with colour, on paper and on tracing paper. I also used masking tape on tracing paper. Again this brought to the attention of the viewer the space in-between the trees and in some cases made the space in the image the primary object.

I also used tape on an other image of trees and with one of my cone images.

The images really enhance the fact that space can be more visible as 2D, than it can be as 3D.  In reality, space is taken very much for granted and not acknowledged, where as in 2D as a flat piece of art work, the 2D when highlighted in someway is very dominant..
